Too funny! As I speak I have an antler sitting in my front yard. Yes, I could spray paint it white and set it on my coffee table and be uber chic, but it would be stealing because the dog was the one who found it and it is one of his cherished possesions so I think this time I'll pass. Besides I find the faux deer head and such trend a little comical. It's one of those things that make you think maybe everything has already been done and they really had to think outside the box. I guess I'd rather have a ceramic deer head then the real think, but still... All this and I had a very close encounter last night with the prettiest little fawn while on my run. Some things should just be enjoyed in nature and kept out of our homes.

Yellow

I remember telling someone in kindergarten that my favorite color was yellow and it's remained so ever since. It's such a happy, cheerful color and I've always been drawn to it. I'm actually a little bothered that it's become a big trend in design only because when something is "in' it eventually has to be "out". They say it's one of the hardest colors to get right and I guess I have to agree. My great rooms walls took 4 layers before I got it right. Waiting for a good mood

I need to convince the hubby that our dark brick in the living room needs a nice bright layer of white paint. It's not just a firplace but two half walls that divide the dining room. How do I do this with the best chance of getting my way... with visuals. I think he'll either be impressed with my research or annoyed that I'm still not done with the trusty gallons of white paint I'm determined to use up.
